DANIELLE ROMERIL The Danielle Romeril presentation was a fashion jungle in the heart of London. A highlight for the presentations on the Sunday. Garments included fringed and ruffled flared trousers, a abstract jungle print trench and a jungle tartan dress. The use and variation of prints within the collection was very interesting. Soft colours were used - black, white, pastel pink and mint green. The shoes within the collection stood out to me also. Slingback crocs with fringe detail complemented the clothes well, blending in but still holding a strong place on their own. NIRO WANG YII YII SS16 collection had a youthful and playful feel to it. Tops and dresses were cut to straight, boxy silhouettes, collaging original graphic inserts were used too. Loose fitted silhouettes are also used for ease of comfort combining clean and minimal lines. The prints were playful and full of imagination. One of the highlights for me was the use of texture with crocheted spots mixed with mesh used within the knitwear. The main backdrop colour was white throughout the collection, but the bold assents of colour made the collection stand out. VINTI ANDREWS CLEO PEPPIATI Peppiatt's collection was a bold and fun experience and brightened my mood and day when entering the presentation space. The collection featured hand drawn prints, intricate beading and embroidery and a mixture of materials and textures. The collection was fun tongue and cheek promoting the idea of a strong modern day digital girl who is prepared for what ever the world and the future throws at her. The prints were fun, cute and bold. As eccentric as the items were, you would wear every piece from the collection... and as "crazy" as some may say it was........ it just worked! The SS16 collection coming in the not so distant future for you digital girls out there. The styling was superb by Pheobe Arnold and the fun set pieces were created by Amy Exton. CROSSOVER EAST X ADORN LONDON PARTYI missed a few of the early evening shows and started to pop into the party circuit early. The 1st stop for the evening was the Adorn jewellery party. Which featured jewellery designers such as Ejing Zhang , Hefang and A'Lepoque and featured clothing from AnnaKiki. Running to and frow from the front row of fashion week there was only one drink that I was drinking running the cobbles during fashion week..... Lovo. Lovo is the perfect blend of Thai coconut water and vodka. It was so refreshing and surprisingly good for you using less the 1% fruit sugar. It's a perfect cocktail for all of us who likes a drink every now and then but are trying to stay trim. AOFM 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY at Libertine. I then ran over to support my friends at AOFM Make up at the AOFM 10th London Fashion Week Anniversary Party. After a quick stop on the press line doing some interviews and taking pictures for paps, admirers and fans we ran into the party to be served drinks complementary of Russian Standard Vodka and we dined on the finest canapes by Canapes Direct. The best part of about the party was when you face got sweaty (which it did thanks to the fabulous DJ) there was a make up artist on stand by at all times waiting to give you a bit of a "touch up". Well I took up the offer and got touched up ready for the last party I was heading on to in the early hours of the morning.

DAY 2 MARKUS LUPFER MARKUS LUPFER It was a great start to the morning when I arrived at the Markus Lupfer presentation. I was greeted at the door with a fun cocktail, (it's never too early for a drink during fashion week). Then I was directed to the stunning barren floral wasteland that was awaiting upstairs. The venue was completely transformed into a floral dessert. The sun was shinning through the french doors and windows in the venue which made a great environment to view the collection. The collection featured a mixture of sheer and mesh fabrics with modern infused rich floral prints. The collection used various prints that all went well together. There was light weight floral items such as the sheer embellished organza bomber jacket. This was one of my favourite pieces for the collection. I thought it was so easily wearable (along with the whole collection). You can throw the jacket on over a plain black dress or wear it with a A line skirt. The collection had a theme of clean A-line shapes and 3d sequin embellishment, this theme carried on through the accessories including the shoes. JUDY WU Judy Wu show was certainly one to watch on the Saturday, everyone was wanting to see her next collection with the previous successful of her past catalog of work. The show did not disappoint. There was a mixture of pastel colours along with loose silhouettes. each piece featured various different mixture of colours. Greys, green blues, pinks and mint and a pop of ruby created a colourful canvas of creativity for the collection. The prints were striking with soft marble effects blending splendidly together along with colour blocking with prints and cut away lines. Min wu MIN WU was introducing a sense of the digital age into the fashion world that is fashion week. The collection featured some of the most modern pieces throughout the whole of the season. White was used as a backdrop for the minimal but effective use of print. The prints featured blended spots and patches of faded colour. The presentation had a modern sci-fi feel to it. A cool digital film screening in the background of the collection was shown which made viewing the presentation just as much of a modern and digital experience as it was advertised. MOON J MOON J had a fun and fashionable life inspired collection. The collection was inspired by the idea of life being a game and it advancing step by step. The concept of not following others and keeping at your own pace created a lifestyle collection that was easily wearable. Sport wear inspired jackets and jumpers featured highly in the collection. The use of stripes and blocking dominated the collection creating fun and easily wearable pieces. Steven Tai well it had been a while since I had been back to school but visiting the Steven Tai presentation I didn't quite mind going back. This was the most fun, creative and interactive presentation I had seen for the whole of fashion week. The collection was perfectly placed behind an impressive classroom set piece. The concept of the collection featured fun and girly silhouettes. A lines skirts, playsuits, cropped trousers and waistcoats all featured. The fabrics and items selected and used were perfect for summer THREE FLOORS PERSEPHONI

Vegas Baby! http://www.vegas.com I intend to review each collection individually, so before I do here is a quick summery of my adventures of me running around at London fashion week. so I have had such a busy few days. My schedule has been crazy and I've been running over the cobbles of London's street for London Fashion Week. My week started with a show at the main space. I was delighted to be invited to see the J. JS LEE show at the show space at the new main venue - Brewer Street Car Park. A lot of people have been skeptical about the new space and its had a little bit of controversy over the week, but nothing wrong with that if you ask me, I was also interviewed by the fabulous Naomi Isted about the collection. After a quick spot of lunch and a lot of rain, everyone ran inside for the much anticipated BORA AKSU Show. I was lucky to be out the rain and in the front row. The show was fantastic and everyone's eyes were gleaming at what they were seeing, Lace was used in a elegant and creative modern way. Sharp and bold colours were also used. After the Bora show. I ran over to the Elms Painting Rooms, which was was main space for some of the off schedule presentations. The Presentations were a lot more fun and more of a spectacle then what I had expected. The presentations featured great set designs, themes and styling which complemented the fashions perfectly . The first presentations for fashion I saw was the fabulous EDERLINE LEE and the entertaining VIELMA LONDON. After viewing afternoon presentations. I ran across the Vinyl Factory Soho where ON/OFF has made their return. I went to see the MANUEL FACCHINI Show. Which featured some stunning dresses and pieces which were perfectly wearable and easy to mix. One of the last catwalks shows I went to see was the highly acclaimed fashion scout ONES TO WATCH S/S16 show. Everyone who was anyone was trying to get in to see next season biggest and up and coming talent. It featured designs such as ANITA HIRLEKAR, JS SHIN, LEAF XIA and TYPICAL FREAKS. I had completely forgotten about eating so I went to dinner with a friend and then we attended one of the most wild parties I've been to in a while. We went to the ON/OFF PRESENTS show and party. which featured many designers including SYED NISAR, ROBERT WUN, MARKETA MARTISKOVA and COMIMHE MAC NEICE. The show itself was fabulous with some amazing talent being shown. But the party was crazy wild. It was completely filled with the London street fashion and urban art scene. Filled with artists, performers, body builders, gogo boys and performance artists. People including Cesare Polini, Benjamin Milan and Atonio Gigliotta where all in attendance to the event. I did not know I would have seen so much nudity or "vougeing" for that matter at a after party. But I'm not too much of a prude. It was a bunch of fun and a perfect way to end the first day
Hey guys, just a quick update. Firstly just to let you know I am in the works with a new collaboration project with a company, and website that I hopefully I will be able to share with you soon. But its very exciting and right up my street, but for now I give you a little tease and clues below.. guessed what it is yet..............
well anyway. I've been crazy busy getting ready to attend LONDON FASHION WEEK! only 48 hours to go, I'm so excited I really can not wait. I'm trying to cram in as many designers and presentations in as I can. I really want to find some amazing pieces to share with you guys for next season. I can not wait to report back to you all. I've sorted out what I'm going to wear. But I do have a problem...... the weather! If the rain continues the way it has been my outfits will be ruined. I'm hoping not to give too much away but I'm planing on wearing lighter shades and some pastel colours. The rain will not work in my favour. FINGERS crossed. Anyway guys if you know of any more up and coming designers who's shows you think I should attend or feature please let me know as I would love to discover some more of London's up and coming talent. I know there are a range of shows going on throughout LWF outside of the official schedule, so just go to my contact page. Anyway folks, I will love you and leave you and see you by the runway at fashion week. So on Thursday night all the fashionista's , bloggers and London's finest in fashion was out in force, stomping the sidewalk like it was a runway for one special event, Vouge Loves Regent Street fashion Night Out. Regent Street hosted a night of shopping, dining, drinking as one whole event. Offering various brand discounts and different events, bargains, and free goodies all in the heart of the British shopping capital. Local restaurants and bars were participating in the event as well as all the brands on Regent Street. It was the perfect event to get your last minute bits for Fashion Week. Which was one of the reason I was attending. well firstly there was shoppers and the fashions finest everywhere. I started my night out at the Armani Exchange event where I was greeted with a class of Champagne and great goodie bag. The men's collection was a little more scaled back compared to the ladies, so I had a look at the ladies collection to see what they was offering in case one of my clients needed specific pieces. Then I made my way to Hugo Boss to see if I could get some tailoring pieces. I was greeted with yet another glass of bubbly, then went downstairs to see one of talks from one of the editors and fashion directors of British Vogue about this seasons must have trends.
DJ Cat La Chappelle was also on decks at the event to get the party going. I saw some great casual pieces in meswear but I was only shopping for pieces I needed so I couldn't give into temptation. I then headed down the road to Penhaligons. I love discovering new scents and I found so much scents that I loved including the new scent called Blasted Heath. In the heart, the fragrance meets the shore. Fresh with crunchy green leaves. Refined with the surprising transparent woodiness of Clearwood. It was such a grand fresh scent. I will definitely be shopping there later towards Christmas. Anyone who knows me and my scents knows that i'm usually a Aqua Di parma man. Talking of scents I discovered that there will be a new Jo Malone store coming to Regents Street soon and there was some very handsome assistants on Regent Street to inform me. I then headed over to the Karl Largerfeld store. where there was a queue to get into the store. Apparently this was one of the hottest spots of the night. It was my first time in the flagship store as well,. I tried on a few pieces and was happy to discover that I could fit into a UK/European small in the store. HAHA. All those salads at lunch had done the trick then. There was goodies and drinks and a really cool DJ in Karl Largefeld. I could not resist and took a quick selfie whilst browsing in the menswear department. I then ran across to LongChamp. I had been wanting a men's leather Longchamp bag in like forever. I then found a men's MUST HAVE for fashion week season. - A men's leather document holder. It was perfect. Small, thin with perfect small handles. It will fit all you need. Pen, invitations and emails and your must needed diary. Boys make sure you pick one up I ended my evening at one of my staple department stores. Liberty's London. There had been loads going on through out the store that night. I ended up attending a Party upstairs. I was rather tired, so I made an appearance, showed my face and took myself home for some much rested beauty sleep full up from all the food and drink from the event. But I did not go empty handed! Had loads of goodies. Short & Sweet Just because it's winter , it doesn't mean that everything has to be covered up and wrapped up. I ve always said if you have it....flaunt it ( in a classy & stylish way of course). Short pieces this winter are a great way to create strong shapes and silhouettes that can really make a impact and is a great easy and relaxed look. The mini dress may be classically sexy but new shapes are coming on to trend to create a strong sexy look. For example Saint Laurent have featured some Tutu skirts and dresses in their latest collection. The tutu is no longer for little girls and princesses I can assure you. Louis Vuitton have created some great short and sweet looks with leather mini skirts and teaming it with puffed shoulder long sleeve blouses or tops. Look out for interesting and modern print dresses as well such as Valentino's see through leather number. Constructive Stripes Stripes are used in a few of the collections this season. But not in the way one might expect. Stripes are not used as a print, but more in way where they constructing the ensemble. The stripes are constructing and building the outfits and shapes. One perfect example is the Emilio Pucci dress (featured to the left) Stripes and strips of fabric are surrounding the dress and constructing the dress itself. Another example is the Saint Laurent mini leather dress. The dress is built up of leather stripes and tulle. Balmain features a mouth dropping orange wrap pant suit. The tailoring of the suit is stunning firstly but the use of stripe and colour really just makes it an amazing piece for the season. Check out some of the constructive stripe looks below. Italian Inspired High Fashion Renaissance Style & Romantic Print. There is one designer who's collection is leading the way by horse back and a spear. Miss Elie Saab. Her collection is filled with pieces that are so beautiful to the eye. She features amazing renaissance shape inspired dresses. But she also features some amazing prints. The prints used are very strong and have a classical feel to them, whilst at the same time feeling very fresh, modern and some how not dated. She uses great juxtaposition effect. Other designers are using this trend as well within their collections. Ornate, classical and romantic prints are heavily featured in all collections this season, but some designers have used strong classic Italian romantic prints such as Valentino ( of course as its signature for valentin0... and he is Italian !) and Givenchy. Strong Feminine Tailoring I've always said to my clients at work that there is nothing wrong with a bit of femininity in women's working wardrobe. Women are women and they should pride themselves in that and show it off in the way they carry and present themselves. The fashion industry is not conservative in anyway for a reason. I believe women should have a strong stance in their boardroom. There is nothing wrong with using femininity to be intimidating. Some of the designers (including one of my faves for tailoring Rahul Mishra) have been allowing women to do this in their collections. Strong, shape pieces of tailoring mixed with soft, pastel prints and soft feminine fabrics such as lace or tulle is how this trend is being created. Check out some of the pieces below.
well summer is officially over. The summer dresses are hung back up, The big hats are being put away in your custom Louis Vuitton Hat box, and the fascinators you wore to Ascot are being placed carefully back in the top dressing table draw. So it is perfect time to start looking at this seasons must have trends and pieces. Autumn is one of the most creative seasons. So what should we all be looking out for this season. I've selected a small collection of key piece trends to start you off for the autumn. Its not quite winter yet, so there is no need to start thinking about what sunglasses you are going to go with your Dior ski boots. Trends to look out for. - Classy Check - Couture Style & Ornate Print - fringe - fur - Geometric Print - jumper & Skirt Combinations/Strong Tailored Pieces Classy Check Mixing and matching check with similar and different patterns is a new and fresh trend. A lot of designers have been experimenting with this concept. Mixing Check with stripes and leopard print has been a look that can be quite successful when done right. Large and statement checks have been seen on this seasons runways aswell. Take for example the Chanel Two piece jacket and suit, this look is ultra sophisticated as well as a bold statement. Fringe If 50 Shades Of Grey taught us anything it was that tassels can never be a bad thing. Some of the designers have caught on to this trend. We've seen tassels and fringe done a thousand times, but this time around fringe and tassels are used in a completely new sparkling and zippy way. Designers are using them in varied ways. Balmain for example are using fringe in a dominate way in some of their garments. Check out their orange dress piece. Its to die for! Whilst other designers are using fringe subtly such as Lavin with the use of feathers entwined into a coat. Couture Style & Ornate PrintThe prints this season and so beautiful and there is such a large selection of different styles and designs. There truly is something for everyone. A mixture of old middle age prints and more ornate and embroiled prints have been used this season. A lot of the prints and detailing can be used in both ready to wear and Couture Pieces. These Couture inspired prints make some of the pieces really extra special and have a one of kind feel that will stay in your wardrobe. For instance the Elie Saab Ruby dress is a mix of Couture meets easy to wear. The Lavin Coat has some amazing adorned embroidery featured, Fur... Fur... Fur...!!!! If Cruella De'Vil taught us anything it is that fur is a serious business and must be obtained by any means. "I mean darling...I live for fur, I worship fur. After all, is there a woman in all this wretched world who doesn't? I love fur in Autumn, it really is a must have material and there are some glorious pieces that anyone would hunt through the English countryside with Cruella De'Vil for. My personal favorite piece is the Blue cape by kenzo. I think it so bold and captivating. I also like the Balmain fur sleeve jacket. Hermes' has a beautiful tailored piece jacket that is very smart and creates a very uptown girl look. Geometric Prints Fractal geometry is everywhere, even in lines drawn in the sand. It's the cycle of life... You see fractals in plants, in flowers. Within the human lung are branches within branches. Geometric prints are the staple piece trend this season. Bright colours and amazing shaped prints could not be missed from the back row at fashion week this season. If you want to make a impression and create a impact geometric prints are the way to go this season. Salvatore Ferragamo, Dior and Emilio Pucci are the winners of setting this trend. There are some really strong pieces especially the Salvatore Ferragamo statement piece fur coat. Its such a stand out piece. Beautiful colours , perfectly constructed prints, it really is one the key pieces throughout all the collections. Jumper Combos I love a jumper and skirt combo. Its so easy to do, its classic and its makes mixing and matching so easy. It is a look that really can not go wrong. All you need is a lightweight Knit, a good skirt and a Micheal Kors belt to tie everything together. A Tea length or A line skirt makes a great silhouette for a jumper combination. Salvatore Ferragamo has a created a great look with a knitted and skirt and a knitted roll neck jumper cape. Its a fabulous combination and jersey fabric skirts can be a great material to work with when trying to create this trend. I also adore the Acne Studio Tea Length skirt, a work of art indeed.
It is coming to the end of the winter season, but we are right in the middle of party season.
