This winter it's all about adding a bit of colour to our winter wardrobes. This can be done through simple accessories added to a classic dark winters look! There are some really great vibrant and softer colours out there which can be a good contrast against our usual blacks, greys and navy that we usually all have in our winter looks. The key is to mix and match. I say have a good wide range of matching colours sets of accessories to switch it up day to day. Have a matching coloured a hat with matching gloves. Maybe try a more subtle touch with matching your socks to your bag or holdall and have turned up chino's or jeans to show off your bright pattern socks. There are some strong colours for this season. Teal, burgundy, olive green, light grey and tan are some of this seasons must have colours. Check out some amazing pieces below from some great designers on the high street this season. It's not summer but we all need a bit of TAN! Tan is a colour that is easy to mix or add to any outfit. It's a very neutral colour and works well with all skin tones. Tan would look good with any dark outfit as it adds a pop of brightness to an ensemble without being too bold. We all have tan items in our wardrobe, so this means you have the option of only buying the odd piece to match what you already have or to add to your outfit. But in the winter it's softer reds that take over and show dominance. A soft burgundy is the perfect way to stand out with colour but in a softer and less garish way. Sometimes it's not all about what we wear but what we make seen that counts. Take for instance the fabulous flask from Paul Smith. It's trendy and will be used on a cold night but it's the perfect accessory that makes a statement with colour. Another example is the Reiss card holder. Its something you use everyday and will be seen by everyone, but adds a pop of colour to your everyday routine. Teal, apart from being one of my favourite colours is one colour that is a soft shade and easy to mix. It's perfect to mix in with your working wardrobe. Teal works perfectly when mixed with grey. This is because grey is a soft colour. It may not stand out against a harsher colour like black but it still is strong enough against most pallets. A pop of a teal sock (such as these examples from Ted Baker) underneath a grey tailored trouser is a perfect way to inject colour into an outfit. If you wanna be a bit braver try mixing teal with your navy suit. This can be done with a silk scarf such as the Ted Baker one below. Outside the Fashion show's at Paris Fashion Week there may have been a painted runway and a row of lights because indeed it was like a fashion show itself. There was a mix of different characters, bloggers, fashionista's and photographers. There was so much going on and it was rather exciting. All the celebrities may been in the first row, but it's who is out on the streets and the cobbles where it matters. Everyone from Giovanna Battaglia, Anna Dello Russo, and Hanneli Mustaparta was seen on the streets of Paris making sure they are on the top of the best dressed list. But some amazing and chic outfits were seen from the bloggers, buyers, stylists and socialites,
So let's continue to look at some of the top trends from the runway for this summer. As I said before, I know we are currently all cosy and snuggled up in doors at the mo as it's cold outside. So why not bring a bit of colour into our cold and grey days and lives and check out the bright, bold and sunny looks for this coming Spring Summer 2015? There is enough here to brighten up any day. STRIPES STRIPES STRIPES Everything is looking down! ....or is that up for that matter. Who knows, but all focus is on stripes. This trend is not so much nautical, but more bold and lavish. Stripes are the best way to catch attention this coming season and they are being used in a way like never before. There has been a large variety within the different collections. Stripes have been mixed and integrated well into other parts of garments or been combined cleverly. The idea of varied lines in different fabrics within different parts has featured in some pieces within the collections. Above all..... the stripes and lines are all merged with something else in a creative and exciting way. So, what do you need to look out for in order to achieve this seasons new trend? ELEGANT PATTERNS THAT FEATURE STRIPES: Think of gowns that feature a mermaid tail with bold stripes at the bottom. Look out for lace that features horizontal stripes as well. STRIPES FEATURING MIXED FABRICS: Look out for stripes that have been put together using a mix of fabric instead of a mix of colours. For example the Mui Mui skirt below. STRIPES IN ALL DIRECTIONS: Stripes combined together both horizontally and vertically in one outfit brings a fresh idea to the concept and trend. Check out the Louis Vuitton dress below. MIX STRIPES WITH OTHER PATTERNS: Colour blocking is out and pattern blocking is in! Think mix & match. Look for items that feature both stripes and other patterns. For example the Louis Vuitton jumper dress below.
LEATHER SHINES THROUGH! Considering it's the summer collection, a little bit of Autumn fabrics creeping in is not so much of a bad thing I guess. I mean, hey, that's what mixing and matching is for. Leather is featured in a few of the spring summer collections and even has whole leather coats. But as we know, there is such thing as light weight leather or even a good leather effect. A lot of the leather featured could be worn easily as leather effect. Mainly skirts were featured this year. There were some designers who stood out and set the bar for this trend, this includes the amazing Mui Mui , Alexander McQueen and Givency. How to achieve this trend and what to look out for Leather Coats: Look out for a light weight leather jacket, sleeveless jacket or Gilet for extra air. BREATHABLE LEATHERS: Try find garments that are light and airy. Alot of the leather skirts have higher slits then usual this summer. For example the skirts featured in the Nina Ricci collection. LEATHER AS AN ACCESSORY: You can still use the leather trend in a minimal way. Maybe add a interesting belt to your outfit or find something that has leather straps or cuffs but not complete leather. Look at some of the items in the Alexander McQueen Collection below for ideas.

So girls and guys put your Tom Ford eye wear on and bring your selves closer to the screen and LETS GET STARTED! BO HO CHIC!! The bohemian trend made a large strong impact this summer! But don't worry its not so hippy and gypsy style. Don't worry ladies you wont have to be needing to learn how to make a daisy chain or learn the guitar anytime soon. This summer the BO-HO look is more based upon the classic hippy shapes and fabrics apart from the strong bohemian prints. Yes there are florals as there are every summer. But this season they are more abstract and used in a more modern way. Alot of light layering is going on to create a bohemian silhouette this coming season. Light fabrics of course, create great easy to wear outfits that can be mixed well with a sweater or a crop top or even a cool vintage autumn jacket for those spring days where it gets a little chilly! The key designers displaying this trend definitely have to be Dries Von Noton and Valentino. Both used light and artistic early 20th century prints and shapes. Classic style dresses are used. key Dorelia looks are used and even some cross gender looks feature in the collection. So what do you need to look out for in the key Gypsy and Bohemian looks on the runway.

Mostly consisting of easy to wear jackets match with a short girly dress or skirt. One huge trend is the thrown together look. Mix match with a sense of thought. Mixing heavy fabrics such as cord and velvet with more sheer and light weight fabrics was a really popular look in the recent collections on the runways. Lace and leather was one prime example seen on the runway in shows such as Alexander McQueen and Givenchy. Mixing stripes, Short girly dresses with large details or prints really create the perfect Busker trend aswell. How to create a Busker look that will make anyone scream for an encore....

photos courtesy or PR Photos and fashioning.com I did enjoy the allude show very much so. As usual they are known for their heavily used knitwear pieces. I was intrigued to see how this would be used in a spring summer collection. As we know knitwear is always used in both summer and winter. But Allude having something special about them. This collection used layering in a unique way. Instead of using layering in a classic way the knitted pieces were layered together instead of on top of each other. This created light shapes. The fabrics were heavy look but light in texture. Andrea Karg has done it again! Creating feminine looks with wool. The silhouettes were crafted well with interesting ways. Geometric shapes were heavily used in some of the key pieces. Colours were used softly and with subtle nude tones. Dark shades were brought in with contrast of white and nude shades. The knitwear was very much native and Eskimo inspired. But there was a sense of freedom and lightness to the pieces. As I said before subtle element of shimmer were included for example the knitted dress with shimmer and glitter tassels made quite a good contrast for the dress with a sense of softness and easily wearable feel to it. Pattern and shapes were introduced with light checks and geometric cutouts to create sharp silhouettes. Tassels were used with a rustic feel within the collection. Lastly I felt the mix of small checks and tassels made some excellent pieces that were simple but effective and easily wearable within the summer, especially within London, as you know how what a british summer can be like. The front row The front row was filled with classic allude looks. With a relaxed but stylist feel. Here is some highlights of the best dressed on the front row
The Highlights of The show I have just arrived back from my wonderful trip to Paris Fashion Week! The spring/Summer 2015 Ready To Wear Womenswear collections were very exciting. The trip did not did not come without its hurdles. My flights was cancelled and I had to go to get a coach the whole way there straight after a wedding I attended. The wedding was amazing and my friends dress was nothing but couture to its finest. I had seen some amazing shows including The Allude Show, Junko Shimada and the fabulous Rahul Mishra. I also caught a glimpse of the action at the Elie Saab show, Valentino and the Mui Mui show aswell which was very exciting. I do love the Parisian style, it has such a elegance to it with such a relaxed style. The street style is just that ..... STYLE. I loved how effortless the Parisian style was whether it be a trouser just turned up simply with a good scarf or a relaxed causal blazer. The Paris style is definitely timeless. The women have quite a hip city bohemian style with good tailored pieces. I did not get as much shots of the more city street style, but I have certainly been inspired for some new designs which is really good. I did see this gent here who was casually hanging out at the betting shop. Just pure style. I love his coordination with the rustic metal elements and embellishment on his jeans to match is rust orange bow tie and brown shows. Who are You Wearing? I had a few good pieces and some vintage pieces to bring with me on my trip. Above
